Schools — mastery distribution

Share of flagged sub-topics per state, per school. Counts label each segment; hover for detail.
How “Mastered” is decided (ratified 2026-07-19): ≥ 80% correct across ≥ 4 authentic past-paper items, with correct method where method is scored (Paper 2), and retained across at least one spaced-retrieval checkpoint. Accuracy alone is not mastery — retained accuracy is; a lapse regresses the state. These four columns map to the ratified three-state view: Not started + Not yet → “not-yet” · Learning → “approaching” · Mastered. AI may score an answer; a human tutor confirms method-mastery (KB–09).

Retrieval schedule

Expanding-ladder spaced retrieval (Must: 2→7→14→21d · Should: 7→21d · Aspire: exam-proximity only; 21-day cap so nothing sits >3 weeks; consolidation every 14d from Apr 15 2027). Open each session with a 2–4 item, ≤10-min warm-up — retrieval (an authentic past-paper item, cited per the Past-Paper Index), never re-reading; never graded. ✓ advances the ladder · ✗ marks not yet, pulls a Spot-the-Mistake block, and re-tests in 3 days. Spacing feels harder than re-reading — that's the design; say so to students.
